I was wondering if anyone knew a way to help my tonsils and lymph node swelling go down?

I went to the doctor yesterday and found out I have strep. but she she didn't tell me any way to help the swelling go down. She gave me a script for penicillin. and told me to use salt water to gargle with.and take tylenol. is there anything else I can do.
