Why is the AMA suddenly speaking out on SOCIAL issues? Gay marriage and pot legalization?

Since Obama is buying off the AMA they suddenly have a lot of power in DC. Why is an ociation of doctors jumping on the left wing nutjob bandwagon and parroting every talking point from the DNC?
