Not getting introduced?

So I went out to eat yesterday with a friend and some other girls. Everybody knew one of the girls there, except for me. And nobody introduced me the entire time. Normally I would just say "hi Im' cara" but I didn't even feel like it this time. I always make sure to introduce friends who don't know each other. I like my friend a lot but wow, was that rude or what?
