Can anyone help me figure out this dream?

So the dream started out with me being in a war. My gun didn't work and every time I aimed it misfired. I was shot by many enemy soldiers but there was this one person who shot me several times and every time he seemed to shoot me from an unexpected location so there was always the element of surprise. Like there was this one time I was taking shelter behind a car and all of a sudden he turns out to be inside the car. Despite the pain I still kept fighting and after the war was over I pulled up my shirt to look at the wounds but only had superficial ones...nothing actually d my skin. When I arrived at the safe house this person who shot me multiple times was lying on the ground dying and somehow (though it doesn't really make sense) that person turned out to be on my side and I felt really sorry for him. Now this is the part where it gets weird: I made a pact with the sea (yes the sea) to take me and heal the wounded (including that person). So the dream scene changed and I was standing in the water. I swam further out and all of a sudden I felt this irresistible pull and the waves came over me and I didn't really try to escape because it was kind of peaceful. I wasn't suffocating or struggling for air or anything like that it was kind of like going to sleep and when I was just about an inch close to death the dream scene changed again and I saw my mother. Of course I couldn't tell her about what I was trying to do but somehow without really knowing it she had made the whole thing stop. The weird thing is I wanted to go back because it felt so peaceful and for the rest of the dream I was trying to find my way back to the sea but couldn't. Now that's one hell of a strange dream and any attempts at interpreting it for me would be much appreciated!
