How is voting for McCain less "ignorant" than voting for Obama?

People say that voting for Obama is "ignorant" and "delusional," yet considering McCain's major policy stance flip-flops, can't the same be said for those who vote for McCain? Couldn't it be that many voted for Obama not because they're "delusional" but that they believe that they already know McCain's past scandals, major flip-flops, dementia, VP choice, and the fact that the media hardly talks about McCain's personal life & Keating 5, etc.(like they would have with a Democrat); would be a slightly worse choice than the newer, lesser known person?
